    Have you had butterflies that had paired yet wouldn't lay eggs? Read on for tips that can trick them into thinking it is a bright sunny day and encourage them to lay eggs.

    It's Christmas Shopping Time!

    Christmas is a hard time for some of us. Butterflies are not flying, the garden is frozen to the ground, and planning our spring garden simply makes us impatient.

    The discovery of some high quality stained glass goodies as well as what Stephen had been searching for; Music of the Spheres Wind Chimes caused Stephen to pull out his checkbook. Receiving these items set him to creating new webpages.

    Female butterflies usually lay eggs when their feet touch their host plant; under certain conditions. Light, warmth ...

    Place the female in a container with a warm light close to one side. Place the host plant between the butterfly and the light. Make sure the butterfly can't get to the lighted side without touching the plant constantly. She'll lay eggs!

    Butterfly Farmers Wedding and Event Planners Funeral Professionals

    The Association for Butterflies (AFB) 2008 Symposium is scheduled for the first weekend in December.

    Friday; Seminar for new butterfly farmers or want-to-be farmers. Learn the basics of raising butterflies in a larger operation.

    Saturday; Farmers learn more about diseases, marketing, Monarch migration, and much more. Speakers are lepidoptera professionals, sucessful butterfly farmers, and more.

    Sunday; A class teaching about butterfly releases. Learn the basics of releasing butterflies at weddings, funerals, and other events. How-to, safety, when to and when not to release, why they are shipped in coolers, and more. Centerpieces and decorations will be there for you to enjoy. At the end of this class, you will release your own butterfly and receive your 'Butterfly Release Certified' certificate from the AFB.
