    Don't Kill It!

This orange and black tiny pupa on your plants is your friend!

Ladybugs eat aphids on milkweed and other plants. This is the pupa of a ladybug. It's a small as or smaller than a pencil eraser tip.

Many companies sell ladybugs. Simply order a package and release them into your garden to help control those yellow pests on milkweed.

    Native Butterfly Exhibit

Winter freezes these plants to the ground. February brings the chainsaw! Stephen cuts frozen plants to the ground and annuals are planted in bare patches. Fresh mulch is added and after the last freeze, butterflies are added by the hundreds!
