Male Pipevine Swallowtail butterflies catch our attention with
their metallic blue wings.
Gold Rim Swallowtail and
Polydamas Swallowtail butterflies are the same butterfly ... it is
simply known by both names.
Gold Rim Swallowtail butterflies do not resemble Pipevine
Swallowtails as adults. But what about the eggs and
caterpillars? Can you tell the difference?

Pipevine Swallowtail ...
... black and blue and flies all over.
Found in most states, this butterfly catches attention quickly.
Eggs are burgundy and laid in clusters. Caterpillars are social
and stay in tight clusters while young. But the males aren't
always courting female Pipevine butterflies!
Eggs, caterpillars, and chrysalises are available now for
shipments within Florida. Please contact us for more
information if you wish to purchase a Pipevine Swallowtail.
