The Wines

Hogue, Chardonnay
During the grape growing season, Eastern Washington boasts warm summer days followed by cool nights, ensuring that grapes ripen fully while retaining ample natural acidity. Our 2003 Chardonnay shows that classic balance. Aromas are of pear, citrus vanilla, cream, and hazelnut. The wine has complex Chardonnay character. Bright pear and cream flavors abound on the palate with a roundness acquired from the barrel fermented portion (31%). The finish is crisp. This would be a great accompaniment to broiled wild King salmon or fettuccini with a white clam sauce. Regular Price: $10.00 Wine Club Price: $8.00
Willakenzie, Pinot Gris
Leesy and bright, this forward gris leads with aromas of ripe apple and peach, accented by a bit of nutmeg spice. Its flavors are bright and broad at once; the texture is mouth filling and rich, yet the wine retains a fresh, focused line from lively acidity."
Regular Price: $17.99 Wine Club Price: $14.40
Horse Heaven, Sauvignon Blanc
A blend of 78% Sauvignon Blanc and 22% Semillon from a south-facing vineyard in Paterson, Washington. The vinification included 70% barrel fermentation in 1/5 new French oak, followed by five months aging on the lees. Color: Straw. Creamy lemony aromas are complexed with hints of melon, grassy/herbal notes and mild spice. The mouthfeel is very round and mouthwatering, with apple, citrus, and honeysuckle flavors, minerality, and a slight nuttiness. The finish is clean, dry, playing out ripe.
Regular Price: $14.00 Wine Club Price: $11.20
Parducci, Pinot Noir
From the first carbon-neutral winery in the US! This Pinot Noir offers aromas of fresh spearmint, dark berries and ripe plums, with a hint of cocoa. Its spicy, minty, ripe berry flavors are full and rich on the palate, picking up a savory chocolate tone in the finish. Enjoy this rich red wine with salmon, ham, and fine cuts of red meat. Parducci is locally owned and operated in California's Mendocino County.

Baron Philipe de Rothschild Escudo Rojo
Regular Price: $15.00 Wine Club Price: $12.00
Edmeades, Zinfandel An aroma like a rustic mountain cabin with fresh red meat and spices being prepared for dinner and then freshly baked wild berry pies for dessert - of course the wood stove damper is not working well so there is a little smoke in the room... The tannins are soft and supple, but the acidity comes through with a bit more acid structure than in past vintages and stays with you till the cows come home. We always add a little Syrah and Petite Sirah for the mid palate, filling in the hole of the donut, but this year it is a little more pronounced in the flavors and aromas, hence the gamey and meatiness underneath all the mixed fruits. With aging the wine should evolve into a very layered and complex Zinfandel, with toast and spice from the oak picking up in intensity and the creaminess becoming more apparent after a few years.
