In this issue, we will drift from our market focus and discuss other areas of interest to clients. Because we are a holistic financial services company, we want our newsletter to be representative of our advice.

 The Big Picture
 Insurance

House in Hands Over the last few years, Americans have been pouring money into their homes. If you have upgraded your home by remodeling your kitchen, finishing your basement, adding a new bathroom, or completed another project, your home is likely worth more than it was when you first moved in.

After most people purchase a home owner's insurance policy, they rarely consult their agent on a regular basis to determine if changes need to be made. With upgrades to your home come increases in the cost to rebuild. If you have had work done to your home, contact your insurance agent to determine if you need to increase your coverage.

We also recommend that clients discuss umbrella or personal liability insurance with their insurance agent. Umbrella insurance is coverage provided beyond the limits of your home and auto policies. Typically provided in amounts over 1 million dollars, umbrella insurance helps to protect your assets/future income should someone decide to sue you for a large sum of money.

Umbrella insurance typically comes at a relatively low cost, but will raise your auto and home insurance costs if you do not currently carry the maximum benefits on those.

Schedule a meeting with your insurance agent to discuss these issues as well as any other updates you may require for artwork, antiques, jewelry, or other items that you may have purchased recently.

 The Office

reception with fenway I will be out of the office during the first week of July and our office will be closed on July 4th. If you require assistance while I am gone, you can contact Brenna at brenna.frania@lpl.com or 410-732-2633.

 The Family

Baltimore Sun Picture Fenway completed his first round of agility training this month. During a timed run on our last day, Fenway's time was the fastest. His next set of classes begin in the fall. Hopefully we will have him out and competing shortly thereafter.

Fenway also began "day care" this month. On Thursdays he will be out running in the park, swimming, or just plain playing with other dogs for the day. If you are hoping to see him during your next visit to the office, I suggest scheduling a meeting for a Tuesday or Wednesday.

Heidi and Fenway also made it onto the Baltimore Sun's website a few weeks ago. They were going for their morning walk when they ran into a photographer covering a story on the inner harbor. The picture from the sun is attached above.

 Our Resources

Remember, we help our clients with much more than investment management. If you have any questions regarding insurance, tax strategies, retirement planning, estate planning, education savings, or lending strategies, please give our office a call to schedule an appointment.

We are also happy to provide you with referrals to other resources. We work with professionals in other fields such as real estate, tax preparation, mortgage lending, law (various types), construction, and computers. Just as our clients are spread across the country, so are the professionals we utilize. If you are in need of help with anything, just let us know. If we do not know someone who can help, we will get you pointed in the right direction.
