 Audition Dates/Location:
August 28-30/Louisville Center for the Arts, 801 Grant Ave. Louisville
Performance Dates/Location: November 5-8/Louisville Middle School
Eligibility: Students entering grades 5th through 9th
Rehearsals: Cast A Mon/Fri/Sun, Cast B Tues/Fri/Sun (afternoons) Auditions will be held by appointment. We will audition small groups of up to 5 in 20 minute time slots. To schedule your time, email Ileane Olson. Put AUDITION REQUEST in your subject line and let her know your date/time preference, which we will try to accommodate. Within five days of your request, you will receive a confirmation along with the audition application and samples of dialogue for you to review prior to the audition. Drop in auditions will be accomodated, but you will have to wait for an available slot.
The audition times are:
Friday, August 28th 4:00-8:00 (last slot starts at 7:40)
Saturday, August 29th 1:00-4:45 (last slot starts at 4:20) Callback auditions will be held on Sunday, August 30 in the afternoon. Callback auditions will be posted on the internet by 6 pm on Saturday, August 29th.
Audition Preparation: Please prepare a song or part of a song from musical theatre that is under two minutes. You must bring sheet music for our accompanist. Recorded accompaniments, CDs, or tapes are not allowed. Singing acappella is strongly discouraged. You also need to read or perform one or two of the short dialogues that will be emailed to you when you schedule your audition. You don't have to memorize them, but you can if you wish. Finally, if you'd like to be considered for a dancing role, you can demonstrate a dance step for us, such as a jazz square, grapevine, or time step.

 Our good friends at Noodles & Company are helping us out again on another event night to benefit CenterStage!

We will have an attachment in the September newsletter that you will need to have in hand when you attend the event.
In other news, CenterStage was the recipient in July of the Precision Plumbing monthly drawing in which they give a $1,000 to a non-profit in the community. Thank you to everyone who participated in this contest, especially Barry Goldberg and Daina Olson who promoted this contest for us. Your hard work paid off!
