Les Miserables - Thanks to All Who Auditioned
Anne of Green GablesCenterStage's spring production of Les Miserables is cast and ready to start rehearsals on January 11 in preparation for the April performances.

Each spring, CenterStage produces a multi-age musical with ages ranging from older elementary through high school.  It is one of our most popular shows for both participants and audiences alike.  Les Miserables features actors ranging from ages 9-18 from Louisville, Lafayette, Erie, Boulder and even as far as Denver and Arvada.

More than 150 actors auditioned for the show and 96 were cast.  A little more than 20% of the cast are brand new to CenterStage and almost half of the leads are in their first leading role with CenterStage.  We are excited for all the new talent! Mark your calendars for at least one of the shows April 18-20 and 25-27 - or even better come and see both casts!

Design a Display for Les Mis
Bank DisplayWe have an opportunity for a  Les Miserables promotional display, for the entire month of April, in the front window of the First Community Bank on Main Street in Louisville.

So since we have so many creative people involved with CenterStage, we want to turn the design over to you in our display contest! All CenterStage families (including parents and children) are eligible to submit a design. The winner of this contest will receive two tickets to Les Miserables as well as a mention in the production program.

The winner will have a display budget of $40 plus access to CSTC available props and costumes not already used for Les Mis. Submit your designs to info@centerstagetheatrecompany.org or mail to: CSTC, 1153 Hillside Ct, Louisville, CO 80027. Designs must be submitted by January 31, 2008.

TY to Parade and Party Attendees
Holiday ParadeThank you to everyone who participated in the Parade of Lights as well as attended our Holiday Party. We had some brave souls come out for the parade on a cold night. A special thank you to Walt Boner who allowed us to use his truck as our "float".

As for the Holiday Party, we had more than 100 people attend. We enjoyed good food, warm cider and performances by CenterStage alumni.
Your Town? No, it's Urinetown
Urinetown
CenterStage will present Urinetown in Summer 2008.

Directed by Jeanie Balch, auditions will be in early May for actors, ages 14 (entering 9th grade) to 20. Performance dates are July 16 to 27 and will be at the Dairy Center for the Arts in Boulder.

Dance Classes
Art UndergroundThe Art Underground in Louisville has several new dance classes starting this month. They include musical theatre, hip hop/jazz and Irish Dance. With the importance of dance as a skill as you participate in the performing arts in high school, why not take advantage of these classes offered for elementary and middle school age students.

The Art Underground is not affiliated with CenterStage Theatre Company.

Coming Soon: Information about CenterStage Summer Camps. This year they will be in Boulder AND Louisville.
