This month also marks the Grand 'Hamptons' Opening of "MoonSoup" a new gift shop and toy store at CMEE. MoonSoup Boutique - a successful NYC store and Early Childhood Development Studio - opened its doors at CMEE last week and will offer a mix of fun classes and special events this Summer.  Special WNET.ORG Preview Screening for Father's Day |
Calling all Dads, Grandfathers, and "Dad-like" family members! CMEE and WNET.ORG are partnering to present a special Father's Day event and screening at CMEE on Saturday, June 20, from 10 am - 12 noon.
A Preview Screening of a new Father's Day Episode of Cyberchase, the Emmy Award-winning animated math series that airs nationally on PBS KIDS GO!, will be shown at 10:30, followed by a screening of an additional episode at 11:30am. Meet lead character " Digit" and participate in several activity tables.
 Award-winning film and stage actor Matthew Broderick will guest star as the voice of Max in the special "Father's Day" episode of Cyberchase - in which Hacker sets out to ruin Father's Day while Max and the CyberSquad try to stop him.

MoonSoup Boutique & Classes |
 Hooray, have you heard?! A gift and toy store is back (and brand new!) at CMEE! "MoonSoup" made its 'Hamptons Debut' when it opened its doors last week at the Museum. Operated by Co-Owners Ashish Rajadhyaksha and Susan Izatt, MoonSoup, an Early Childhood Development Studio, currently runs a successful boutique in New York City, and also offers popular classes in music, art, cooking, and yoga, as well as a destination for parties. The boutique sells eclectic and unique books, toys, and other gifts with a high quality developmental focus. Gifts include blankets, lush crib quilts, lotions, diaper bags, accessories and more. They offer a gift registry, baby shower and custom gift baskets and shipping. The store will be open during Museum hours.
In addition to the great shop, CMEE families can look forward to MoonSoup's "Creative Classes for Kids" in July and August - a fun mix of Creativity, Art and Musical Play classes for Babies, Tots and Kids up to Four years old. MoonSoup will be offering Messy Art and Imagine Soup, Baby Rock & Roll and Sign Language, and Studio Mix - ask about MoonSoup's Spanish Sing-along classes too.  Says Ashish , "We are very excited to be opening a branch of our store at the Children's Museum this summer, it is a great match for both Moonsoup and CMEE. So many of our city customers have homes in the Hamptons, and we had been thinking of doing something here. When one of our clients mentioned CMEE, it seemed like the perfect opportunity." Executive Director, Steve Long adds "We had hoped to reopen our gift shop, which people have missed, and we're delighted that Moonsoup expressed interest -particularly since we host birthday parties, and this shop can provide a 'built-in' service for shoppers and party-guests. This collaboration will also expand the visitor base for both Moonsoup and CMEE, which is another nice benefit."
