Summer is almost here and we're delighted to announce CMEE's 2009 Summer Schedule--a full line up of new programs, workshops and weekly performances for July and August. Tomorrow, we're thrilled to launch our collaboration with Gymboree by offering three different classes for children ranging in age from 6 months up to four years. Thank you to everyone who participated in our online survey about the "Get Active" exhibit. Because almost 90% of you asked that we continue "Get Active," we're keeping the exhibit in place (along with some upgrades) through the summer.
 
Dozens of members of the community have asked CMEE to create an outdoor playground. We're prepared to install one at CMEE, but we need your help. We're asking all of our members to help support this effort by each donating $10. If we get full participation, we can raise the $12,000 we need to install the play space by this summer. 
 
CMEE also needs your help with our federal appropriations request. You may have read the recent article in the Southampton Press announcing that Representative Tim Bishop had requested $137,000 to help support CMEE. Please contact Representative Bishop by clicking here to send an email  urging him to make CMEE's request a priority! (Click here to copy the letter for your email.)
