Think Local Thank Local
Party!!!

Tuesday, January 24th

5:00 - 7:00 pm

Christopher's Restaurant
1920 Massachusetts Avenue

Our Fifth Annual "Think Local Thank Local" campaign had a record breaking 41 businesses participate! These CLF businesses donated a percentage of their revenues during the week after Thanksgiving to the Cambridge Housing Assistance Fund.

We're thrilled to announce the preliminary number Cambridge Local First members raised was about$7,000 for this important Cambridge nonprofit! We invite you to join us in celebrating this campaign and the important work of CHAF.

You'll be able to meet and network with several board members from CHAF, your fellow CLF members, and other community leaders. It will be a fun and meaningful event at one of Cambridge's finest restaurants complete with tasty hors d'œuvres and a cash bar.

Please RSVP to Janneke at cambridgelf@gmail.com or 857-998-7392

Support Local Businesses and Our Local Economy by Completing this Annual Survey!

Survey Results GraphAll independently owned businesses are invited to complete a five minute survey created by Stacy Mitchell from the Institute for Local Self-Reliance. Last year, over 2,700 businesses took this survey which provided unique and important data about the viability of independent businesses; helped demonstrate the effectiveness of "buy local first" initiatives; and documented an increased public support for independent businesses. These surveys have been picked up by the national and local media as evidence of the importance of local businesses to our local economy.

This short survey has two goals:
  • To gauge how independent businesses are faring in today's economy, and
  • To assess whether people are more aware and supportive of locally-owned, independent businesses.
Click here to view last year's results.

The survey will close on Tuesday, January 17 at midnight Pacific Time.
