Moreland Avenue LCI Study Community Meetings |
The City of Atlanta Office of Planning in partnership with Atlanta City Council Members Carla Smith (District 1) and Joyce M. Sheperd (District 12) will hold a series of community meetings to present a brief review and update of the proposed zoning changes for the South Moreland Avenue LCI Study and gather public input from the community in regards to the proposed District provisions and boundaries of the proposed development districts.
The next scheduled meeting is:
Tuesday, September 18th
Time: 6:30 - 8:00pm

2012 Neighborhood Summit |
On behalf of The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta and the Neighborhood Fund, you are invited to register for the 2012 Neighborhood Summit on September 22, 2012. This event promises to be engaging and informative.
The Neighborhood Summit is pleased to announce that IBM's Ann Cramer will be providing the keynote address at the 2012 Summit. Highly regarded for her leadership and commitment to metro area communities, Cramer will discuss how information can fuel community change.

Dance 411 Foundation Community Arts Day |
The Dance 411 Foundation will host its FINAL Community Arts Day of 2012 on Saturday, September 22 from 2-4pm at the Dance 411 Studios:
DREAM BIG, DO BIGGER
This event will be the best yet! Bring your children out to a day of Fun & Learning, as we offer FREE DRAMA & MUSIC WORKSHOPS with the help of our best instructors. Hosted by DanceGrind Radio, everyone is sure to learn something new in a safe, family-friendly environment.

Brownwood Park: Hands On Atlanta Day Work Day |
Participate in the improvement of Brownwood Park: Hands on Atlanta Day, Saturday October 6.
Friends and neighbors join EACA Parks and Green Space /Friends of Brownwood Park for Hands on Atlanta work day. We are asking for volunteers to help mulch trails, put some finishing touches on the fitness trail, and clear some invasive plants form the stream area. So come on out get to know your neighbors, learn about the fitness trail, and learn how you can get involved in all of the activities in Brownwood Park. We will start the work day at 9:00 AM working until 3:00PM. Any amount of time you can give will be appreciated. Snacks and water will be provided

Druganacht: Light Nights in the Dark Forest |
EACA is proud to sponsor the latest production of our Arts and Culture Committee: Druganacht: Light Nights in the Dark Forest.
For four weeks this fall, Brownwood Park will be transformed into an enchanted forest full of fire, mystery and creatures who only come out at night. Follow the brave Vasilisa on her journey through this ancient wood to seek the wisdom of the Baba Yaga and ask for her blessing. Owls will hunt, Ravens will fly, Spiders will climb, Cats will cavort, Wolves will stalk. The Forest itself will come alive before your eyes.
Thursday Shows and early Saturday Shows are family friendly. The late show on Saturday is adults only. Tickets available soon.

Neighbor in Need Poker Tournament |

To qualify, you must have lived at the same address for 20 years or be over age 65. We also have a 20% discount for members of an APD-sanctioned Neighborhood Watch.
