| Moreland Avenue LCI Study Community Meetings |
The City of Atlanta Office of Planning in partnership with Atlanta City Council Members Carla Smith (District 1) and Joyce M. Sheperd (District 12) will hold a series of community meetings to present a brief review and update of the proposed zoning changes for the South Moreland Avenue LCI Study and gather public input from the community in regards to the proposed District provisions and boundaries of the proposed development districts.
EACA will host a Community Workshop on Tuesday, September 11 from 6-7pm at Branan Towers. This meeting will happen prior to the regularly scheduled monthly EACA meeting at 7 pm.

| East Atlanta Strut - September 15 | |

| East Atlanta Roll |
Village Garage & Custom and Grease Monkeys is proud to present the first ever East Atlanta Roll on Friday, September 14. This soon-to-be annual event will showcase the best and baddest rides in Atlanta and park them right in the heart of East Atlanta Village.
Hosted in conjunction with the East Atlanta Strut the Friday night before the Strut, the East Atlanta Roll is a Car and Bike show that will feature judged classes
for cars and bikes complete with trophies, live music from area bands and beer!
We're looking of all kinds of rides: Vintage Cars, Muscle Cars, Modern Customs, Custom Motorcycles... hell, even bring your Custom Bicycle. One catch: NO TRAILER QUEENS!

| Don't Let the Parade Pass You By |
It's time to stop thinking about it and sign up to participate in the East Atlanta Strut Parade on Saturday, September 15.
Paraders march, ride, sing, dance, dress up, dress down, bike and skate through the festival's cheering throng to compete for the coveted Strut trophies. This year, there's a new category: Best Celebration. It will go to the group with the most interesting way of marking a birthday, anniversary or other special event. Bring the party to the parade! If strutting in front of thousands of people isn't your style, we also could use some volunteers to help the parade run smoothly!

The East Atlanta Parents Network in conjunction with the BPA PTA are planning a really fantastic kid's area for the East Atlanta Strut ( 9.15.2012) this year and we need your help to make it happen! | Brownwood Park: Hands On Atlanta Day Work Day |
Participate in the improvement of Brownwood Park: Hands on Atlanta Day, Saturday October 6.
Friends and neighbors join EACA Parks and Green Space /Friends of Brownwood Park for Hands on Atlanta work day. We are asking for volunteers to help mulch trails, put some finishing touches on the fitness trail, and clear some invasive plants form the stream area. So come on out get to know your neighbors, learn about the fitness trail, and learn how you can get involved in all of the activities in Brownwood Park. We will start the work day at 9:00 AM working until 3:00PM. Any amount of time you can give will be appreciated. Snacks and water will be provided

East Atlanta Security Patrol

To learn more about the East Atlanta Security Patrol, view updated news and notes or to enroll, visit the EASP website. There is a 50% discount for longtime residents and those 65+. To qualify, you must have lived at the same address for 20 years or be over age 65. We also have a 20% discount for members of an APD-sanctioned Neighborhood Watch. East Atlanta Crime Mapping

Recently, the Atlanta Police Department changed their reporting method and we are not receiving regular, easily shareable reports. While we take time to address this issue, EACA's Public Safety committee will be providing crime mapping images for the previous month and previous quarter.
