Friends of East Atlanta LIbrary Book Drive

Checklist Image

It's not too late for your old books! There is still time to cull the bookshelf, clean out the closet or get the old box from the basement.

After Labor Day there will be one more week of used book collection before the books have to be moved.  Bring your old books to the East Atlanta Library during library hours before September 9

This is the Friends of The East Atlanta Library's big annual fund raiser and the way that we can support library programs and materials at our library.

The book sale will be at the corner of Metropolitan Avenue and Flatshoals across from the Fire Station on Saturday, September 15, during the East Atlanta Strut, where there will be thousands of books to choose from.
Don't Let the Parade Pass You By

Checklist Image

It's time to stop thinking about it and sign up to participate in the East Atlanta Strut Parade on Saturday, September 15.

Paraders march, ride, sing, dance, dress up, dress down, bike and skate through the festival's cheering throng to compete for the coveted Strut trophies. This year, there's a new category: Best Celebration. It will go to the group with the most interesting way of marking a birthday, anniversary or other special event. Bring the party to the parade!

If strutting in front of thousands of people isn't your style, we also could use some volunteers to help the parade run smoothly!
