Don't Let the Parade Pass You By

Checklist Image

It's time to stop thinking about it and sign up to participate in the East Atlanta Strut Parade on Saturday, September 15.

Paraders march, ride, sing, dance, dress up, dress down, bike and skate through the festival's cheering throng to compete for the coveted Strut trophies. This year, there's a new category: Best Celebration. It will go to the group with the most interesting way of marking a birthday, anniversary or other special event. Bring the party to the parade!

If strutting in front of thousands of people isn't your style, we also could use some volunteers to help the parade run smoothly!

EAV Farmers Market - My Market Club

Checklist Image

The My Market Club is a program developed in partnership with Georgia Organics.  It is designed to encourage people who have never been to a farmers market to give it a try. By committing to regularly shopping at their local farmers markets, people can support local farmers and the local economy. All season long, participants will not only get free incentives for the first three times they come, but they will also have the chance to connect with their community and their food in a more meaningful way.

Regular market shoppers are encouraged to recruit friends and family that haven't' yet been to the market and show off what they love about shopping there. Both regular shoppers and their friends will get great rewards like Chipotle burritos, local coupons and market money. The My Market Club is the first step in claiming your local farmers market as your own.
