Bound to Be Read Books
Writing Group, Thursday, November 5th 7:00 p.m.
Our in-store writing group is open to writers of all types. We meet on the first Thursday of each month to read our work and to give and receive feedback.
It's easy to participate! Just bring five (5) copies of your poem, short story, essay, novel, screenplay, play, children's story, or other written work to share. We'll read and offer constructive comments on everyone's work.
November 7th is National Bookstore Day!
Come visit your neighborhood bookstore on Saturday, November 7th as we celebrate bookselling and the vibrant culture of bookstores in America! Bound To Be Read Books will join with bookstores all across the country for special events, sales, and promotions.
We'll raffle off one $50 gift certificate and other prizes that day, and we'll provide complimentary wine & cheese and refreshments.
Beginning at noon, we'll host a continous, in-store reading of Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. According to the author, the book is not about censorship, but about how television and mass media affect the reading of literature. Several authors will stop by to participate in our continuous read, such as David Fulmer, Jedwin Smith, Phil Nutman, and Susan Gregg Gilmore. More authors will be announced soon. The continuous read is scheduled to finish by 6:00 PM. If you'd like to sign up to participate by reading anything from a few pages to a whole chapter, e-mail jef@BoundToBeReadBooks.com. |

Beltline Corridor Environmental Study Fall Public Meetings |
MARTA and ABI are holding a series of meetings in No vember 2009 to present progress-to-date and solicit feedback from the public on the analysis of potential transit and trails routes. The purpose of the meetings are to:
- Inform the public of the study status;
- Present results of the evaluation process; and
- Solicit feedback regarding the evaluation results to inform upcoming decision-making.
Revisions of the technical evaluation process will take place using the information and responses gathered from the public meetings. This insight along with ad ditional technical work will help to bring the BeltLine Corridor Environmental Study to completion with a Tier 1 Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). The final Tier 1 EIS in turn aids the decision-makers in the selection of a preferred transit and trails route. Feedback Desired from the Community Public meetings get the community involved in the study process and help to collect vital information that to use in the study's planning, design, and engineering outcomes. One of the BeltLine's long-standing objectives is to get the people of Atlanta involved in the entire BeltLine process, from inception to operation. Please attend your Southeast Study Group public meeting on: November 9, 2009, 6:30-8:30 PM at: Trees Atlanta 225 Chester Ave. SE Atlanta, GA 30316
