The Farmers Market is still going strong each Thursday from 4 p.m. until dusk in the Village Hardware parking lot. Stop by to buy some of our fall vegetables, breads, eggs, milk, local & italian cheeses, granola and more! Every other week, we have grass-fed beef available as well! | |

Kidz CraftsMonday, October 5. 3:30 p.m.Children will make easy crafts that can be taken home or displayed in the library. Ages 5-12. Reservations are required.
Teeny Tiny Tales Tuesdays, October 6-27. 10:30 a.m. Children will enjoy stories, songs, puppetry and crafts. Ages 18 mos.-36 mos. Reservations are required for groups of 10 or more.

Trees Atlanta is hosting their annual tree sale this Saturday, October 10th.

Imagine Wesley International Academy's 1st Annual International Festival
|
 In celebration of United Nations Day, Imagine Wesley
International Academy holds its First Annual International Festival, rain or
shine, open to the public. The Festival will take place on Saturday, October 24th from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the school (1049 Custer Ave, 30316).
Festivities kick-off in global style with a Parade of
International Costumes accompanied by East Atlanta's own Earthshaking Music
Samba Group. Also on the entertainment
stage: Chinese Drumming Troupe, Tang So Doo Martial Arts presentation, Asian
Fan Dancers and Capoeira demonstration.
Arts, crafts, games, bake sale from all over the world as well as face
painting, dancing and a World Music Instruments Raffle will round out the
festival.
"The History of Pasta" headlines as the food focus:
follow pasta's journey from China along the Silk Roads to Africa, traveling up
to Italy and ending up in America.
Festival goers may sample a variety of Pasta dishes highlighting these
notable destinations. There's even a chocolate pasta dessert!
Parking will be available at the CVS on corner of
Moreland and Custer Avenue or the Haitian Ministry Church on Custer

City of Atlanta Training for New Block Watch Captains
|
The City of Atlanta Police Department and Public Safety Committee members are inviting residents to "Training for New Block Watch Captains" on October 10th. If your street has recently formed a neighborhood watch or is in the process of doing so, this training may be a good resource for you. Find more details HERE. |

To learn more about the East Atlanta Security Patrol or to enroll, visit the EASP website (http://patrol.eaca.net). There is a 50% discount for longtime residents and those 65+. To qualify, you must have lived at the same address for 20 years or be over age 65. We also have a 20% discount for members of an APD-sanctioned Neighborhood Watch. Please contact us if you're interested in setting up a Neighborhood Watch on your street.
