Tradeshow & Luncheon Highlights Chapter Growth
As you read in the this week's earlier email recap of the tradeshow, NEFARPM members and guests had a great opportunity to learn about affiliate services on a personal level by meeting with vendors and enjoying lunch together last Thursday. President Wilson Boozer also spoke about the success of this chapter, which is now the 16th largest in the nation. "This is the 'stay-out-of-trouble' club," said Wilson as he shared some of the benefits of being a NEFARPM member. The chapter strives to keep members educated and updated, which Wilson explained needs to continue by expanding the legislative committee of NEFARPM. This past year many members may have experienced the headaches regarding lead-based paint. Moving forward into 2011, there will be new fines, new taxes and a 4-day certification course regarding mold. "Being structured to handle liability is key to your survival," said Wilson. Attending monthly meetings and other events through NEFARPM can help you acquire the tools and knowledge to be efficiently structured.
Wilson also announced that upon exiting his role as the 2010 president, he will become the state director representing North Florida. NEFARPM Officers for 2011 are: President-Mo Hotchkiss, Vice President-Mike Collins, Secretary-Arabelle Tillet, President Elect 2012-Angele O'Reilly. A few other chairs are also needed so please let us know if you would like to help.

Affiliate of the Year Announced at Tradeshow
Steve Weatherington of Northport Construction was selected as the 2010 Affiliate of the Year.
President Wilson Boozer (L) and 2009 Affiliate of the Year Robbie Tarter (C) presented the award.

I want to thank everyone involved that chose Northport Heating & Air as the affiliate of the year. This award was a team effort, from the office staff to the techs in the field. This shows that getting involved and working an association can help you grow your business. NEFARPM is a very professional group; we feel that it is important to align ourselves with professional buyers.
Each month we have an opportunity to meet "professional property managers" that can provide us with repeat business.
I cannot think of a reason not to be there. Thank you all again; we are very proud of this award!
