THANK YOU FROM THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND!!

A huge thank you to families who contributed to the Mountain Camp Scholarship Fund this year.  Through generous donations collected during enrollment and through the camp store, we were able to bring over 50 kids to camp this summer who would not have otherwise been able to attend.  Our partnerships with San Francisco based non-profits, Real Options for City Kids (R.O.C.K.) and Schools, Mentoring and Resource Team (S.M.A.R.T.) continue to enrich the Mountain Camp community and provide a great camp experience for kids in these programs.  We welcome you to check out these programs and thank you for your ongoing support of the Mountain Camp Scholarship Fund.

Early Bird Registration now underway!
boys on dock We're happy to announce that registration for our 2012 season has now begun. To view our 2012 Dates and Rates, click here. To enroll in camp, please click here for our online camp application. To qualify for the Early Bird Rate, we must receive your application and $500 deposit by January 15th AND your full tuition payment must be received by March 1st. All tuition and deposits are fully refundable until March 1st. We're looking forward to another great season in 2012!!
Fall weddings for two Mountain Camp Program Directors
cara drewBig news this fall for the Mountain Camp community, two of our program directors got hitched.

Drew Price, our beloved year-round Program Director, married Cara Peterman near their childhood home town of Duluth, Minnesota.  They were married in a beautiful ceremony at YMCA Camp Miller, where Cara was both a camper and staff member before moving to California.  Cara was a counselor at Mountain Camp for 3 summers  ('04, '06, '07) and introduced Drew to Mountain Camp for his first summer with us in 2009.  Drew's wedding gift to Cara was a pair of homemade canoe paddles which he crafted in his free time while at camp this summer, and which they used during their honeymoon on a week-long canoe trip in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness near Lake Superior.

Lukins was married to Stefanie Warner on
October 8th in a ceremony not far from camp in Truckee, CA.  Toby and Stef met at camp in 2006 and have been together ever since.  The ceremony was performed by long time friend Jody Peterman (Cara's sister), who has also spent many summers on staff at Mountain Camp.  The couple honeymooned in Hawaii and are now living together in San Francisco.  Congratulations!

More than 90% of our new campers hear about Mountain Camp as a result of word-of-mouth referrals from happy campers or parents. Before our waiting lists begin for the 2012 summer, we want to make the process of referring friends as simple as possible. If you want to refer a friend, just click here and send the information to our office. Marketing materials about camp will be sent to your referral(s) ASAP and you'll be sent a Mountain Camp beach towel.
