Stability

"Volunteering is an act of heroism on a grand scale. And it matters profoundly. It does more than help people beat the odds; it changes the odds." - Former President Bill Clinton

KCTCC Adopt-a-Site Profile: Wolverine Worldwide

KCTCC FamilyThe Kent County Tax Credit Coalition (KCTCC) was on the verge of closing the free tax prep site at North Kent Community Services last year due to lack of volunteers.

When word of the potential closing got to local company, Wolverine Worldwide, Inc., they knew that they couldn't let such a valuable program disappear from the north side of town.  Wolverine contacted KCTCC and 12 employee volunteers stepped forward to "adopt" the site and fill the various volunteer roles.

All told, those 12 Wolverine employees volunteered almost 400 hours and prepared $127,408 in tax returns and credits last tax season - making a significant contribution to economic stability in our community.
