New Training Service - Personal Tutorials
We are now offering personal tutorials on any one of our workshop topics. Fee is $250 for a 3 hour tutorial that will include all the resources we use in our workshops. Tutorials can take place at your home or office or at the workshop venue. Here's feedback we received from our last three tutorials...
"The best thing I ever did is contact Marilyn when it was time to market by book. I have taken two workshops with her and contracted her services to update my website and publicize my book to teachers and librarians. I wanted to make better use of social media so I contacted her again. The steps I need to take to promote my book directly to potential purchasers through social media and to mount a virtual book tour were clearly defined at the end of my one to one workshop. She provided me with an enormous amount of information and resources. I went home energized and ready to implement the multitude of ideas that came out of our session. Marilyn's on the spot brainstorm ideas are second to none." ~ Holly Reeves, Author, Pirate Party Book, September 5, 2008 www.piratepartybook.com."My books are selling well. The launch was well attended and the sales of all three volumes continue to increase. I still appreciate the ability to have my own website and to update it myself, something I thought I would never be able to do. It was exciting to get orders directly from bookstores and libraries after you distributed book announcements. As soon as my book tour has ended, I will try some of thesocial media ideas you illustrated at the Social Media for Writers workshop. Thanks again." ~ Molly Anne Warring, author of "Return to Paradise", Edmonton, Alberta, September 7, 2008 www.mollyannewarring.ca
"I really appreciated our one-on-one session yesterday on media plans. I think that was the best thing for me, as it was personal and catered to my company's situation. It was a great overview of the Alberta media scene and provided some valuable marketing guidelines. I am looking forward to trying out my new skills with media releases and seeing the response I get! Thanks so much. ~ Monica Gault, Business Administrator, Geothermal Utilities, September 2, 2008 www.geoutilities.ca

Footnote
We hope you find this newsletter useful. If you do, we have a small favour to ask you in order to make it even more useful to you. We would like to cleanly segment our
mailing list so that we can send separate notices to each
city in Alberta. Please select
the "Update Profile" link below and add the city you're from in the form. That
way whenever we have news of interest only to Calgary, Edmonton,
Lethbridge, Red Deer, Fort McMurrary or Grande Prairie, we can send it
only there.
If you know of someone who you think might appreciate receiving
this newsletter, please forward it to them using the "Forward to a
Friend" link below. Please be assured that we do not sell, rent or lend
our mailing list to anyone and it is kept in a secure area.
We'd appreciate feedback on our newsletter so that we can continue
to improve the design and content and keep you informed on the media
scene in Alberta.
