 Young Adult Season starts with a Prayer Brunch from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 14th at the Rod & Reel Restaurant, Chesapeake Beach Resort and Spa, 4165 Mears Avenue, Chesapeake Beach, MD (Calvert County - just 30 minutes from downtown D.C.). In recognition of Valentine's Day, the Prayer Brunch will feature candid discussion on healthy relationships (personal, professional, social and romantic) facilitated by our Pastors, Rev. Dr Grainger Browning, Jr., and Rev. Dr. Jo Ann Browning. The attire is casual but the issues are real! Tickets are $25, and can be purchased after services or online through PayPal. The Young Adult Ministry will serve breakfast during "Warm Nights"s on Tuesday, February 17th. Volunteers must arrive by 4:00 am and should expect to stay until 6:30 am. To add your name to the list of volunteers contact Bro. Kent Roberson.
"I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God." The Combined Usher Board is recruiting Young Adults to be doorkeepers in the House of Lord. The Youth Ministry will host its "Live Your Life 4 GOD" Youth Empowerment Revival, January 29th - 31st at 7:00 p.m. in the Main Sanctuary. On January 29th & 30th, Pastor Charles Jenkins of Fellowship Baptist Church will deliver the Word of God. Then on Saturday there will be a talent show hosted by Ebenezer's own Sean Sarvis with guest artist Kierra "Kiki" Sheard. Pastor Jo Ann Browning will lead Women to Women Bible Study on Friday, February 6th at 7:00 p.m in Main Sanctuary. Don't miss this once a month opportunity to hear from God about issues affecting women.
The Cheltenham Ministry will conduct Mentor Training and Ministry Outreach on February 6th and February 20th. For more information contact William Leon Ward.
 The Lay Organization will sponsor a "A Taste of Ebenezer" on February 8th from 3:00 - 5:00 pm in the Main Sanctuary (3rd floor). Then at 5:00pm there will be a book signing with journalist Gwen Ifil and her new book, "The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama."
The Potter's House is coordinating "Warm Nights" a church-based emergency shelter, from February 15th - 22nd in the Original Sanctuary. A supply drive for Warm Night will be held February 1st - 14th. For more information or supply list contact Sis. Annell Williams.
It's time to "Relax, Relate, and Release" at the Comfort Ministry's 14th Annual Comfort & Healing Ministries Retreat; February 20th-21st at the Hyatt Resort and Spa, Cambridge, MD. The Thursday Network's "I EMPOWER" Scholarship Fund is accepting application from high school seniors in the D.C. Metropolitan area. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrate a commitment to community service, and be a graduating senior with plans to attend a four year college or university in the fall of 2009.
