The annual Thanksgiving Worship Service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Georgetown at 10:00 a.m. (2624 Dumbarton Street, NW). After the service, tour the Georgetown location where Ebenezer was founded with Bro. Melvin Clay, Steward Pro-Tem.

There will be a Prayer and Planning Meeting on Sunday, December 7th at 3:00pm to organize the New Year's Eve After Party and upcoming Young Adult Season. We need creative, caring, and committed team players to implement the vision. Refreshments will be served, click here to use your gifts for the Lord's work in this ministry.
The Young Adult Ministry will collect food, clothes and gifts for two needy families this holiday season. Family 1: mother and four children ages 5, 8, 10, and 12 (male pant sizes 9-10, 12-14, & 34-35, female pant 7-8); family 2: mother and two children ages 11 and 15 (male pant sizes 42/34 shirt 4XL; female pant 7, shirt L).
Join us for a Christmas Potluck on December 11th after Thirsty Thursdays Bible Study in the Original Sanctuary Fellowship Hall. Prepare your specialty dish, try a new recipe, or just show up and we'll be happy to see you there. To sign up to bring a dish, email the Young Adult Ministry.
Any adventurous souls interested in a moderate five-mile hiking trip in Shenandoah National Park, VA? If so, please email The Young Adult Ministry so we can get a head count. We are considering dates in early December, but don't worry the exercise will keep you warm.
Anyone interested in a scavenger hunt through downtown DC? All teams will be given approximately 3 hours, a map of the area, a bag of snacks, and clues for the game. The cost is $30 per team ($15 per person) and we need a minimum of 5 teams (10 people). Actual date will depend on the availability of participants. If you are interested contact Sis. The 19th Annual Pigskin Jamboree and Financial Aid Workshop will be held on December 13th starting at 8:00 a.m. This workshop is for college bound high school football players. Manhood Rites of Passage is accepting applications from young men ages 12 to 16 for the 2009 season. Participants will receive mentorship and guidance to help them become the strong African-American Christian men that God has called them to be. To request an application, click here.

This hour-long service will be followed by a tour of the Georgetown location where Ebenezer was founded given by Bro. Melvin Clay, Steward Pro-Tem.
