October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Thirsty Thursdays will join the Men's Ministry, the Domestic Violence Ministry and the Women's Resource and Restoration Center this Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in the Main Sanctuary for a panel discussion on domestic violence.

Domestic violence affects the entire family. Be informed on how you can help and find resources if you are in need.

The next Crocheting Corner will be held on November 8th from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Women's Resource and Restoration Center. If you like to crochet, or have an interest in learning, stop by to help crochet items that will be donated to a worthy cause. All crocheting and knitting levels are welcome.

Feeling overwhelmed by a mountain of responsibilities? Don't miss Thirsty Thursdays Bible Study on November 6th as begin to preach and teach on the theme "Finding Balance in a Stressful World." Bible Study will begin at 6:45 p.m. in the Original Sanctuary followed by Rejoice Choir rehearsal at 8:15 p.m., and refreshments in the Fellowship Hall.

Come out to mix and mingle with other members of the Ebenezer Church family at our upcoming Bowling Night on Saturday, November 8th from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the AMF Bowling Lanes in Alexandria. More details to follow, please spread the word.

The Young Adult Ministry is organizing a supply drive for Crosslink International. Crosslink is an ecumenical ministry that provides mission teams with medical supplies to reduce suffering among the world's most needy. For a list of needed items click here. Look for further announcements and donation receptacles in the Narthex.

Need a mid-day praise break? Check out Brent Jones and the Adult Choir singing "I Really Love You." Warning: It has been reported that viewing this clip at high volumes may cause you to begin dancing!

GOTV ("Get Out The Vote") The Lay Organization is staffing an Election Day Command Center in the Original Sanctuary to help voters get to the polls on Election Day, Tuesday, November 4th. If you are able to volunteer, please email the Lay Organization or sign-up in the Narthex after Sunday service.

The 2008 Men's Season Career Job Fair will be held on Saturday, November 8th from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Main Sanctuary. Major area employers will be present and recruiting. If you are seeking employment then you can't afford to miss the MS2K8 Career Job Fair. Bring your resume, and be prepared to interview.!

S.T.O.M.P. (Step Team On a Mission to Praise) is recruiting young men ages 7-18 who are interested in joining the ministry. Practices are held on Tuesdays from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in the Original Sanctuary. For more information, email Sharita Dunn.

Help a young lady transition into womanhood! Womanhood Rites of Passage is accepting applications from young women ages 12 - 18 who are ready to seek and explore God's purpose for their lives. For more information, or to become a mentor, call (301) 265-8253 or email Womanhood Rites of Passage.

On November 6th the program features "Sacred Music in the Church: A Dialogue between Jazz and Gospel" with Rev.
