This Thursday, Young Adult Bible Study will take another "field trip" to Ebenezer's Main Sanctuary for a special forum titled "Our Voice, Our Vote" with Dr. Ronald Waters, Director of the African American Leadership Institute at the University of Maryland College Park.

We have consolidated the meeting night for Young Adult Ministries on Thirsty Thursdays! Praise and worship will start at 6:45 p.m. led by Exalted Praise.  Then, Rev. Jonathan Newton will lead our Bible Study. After Bible Study stay for Rejoice Choir rehearsal at 8:15, or refreshments in the Fellowship Hall. "Come on Let's Have a Good Time in the Lord!" (Note: This week, Oct. 9th, we will [once again] meet at 7:00 p.m. in the Main Sanctuary.)

The 25th Anniversary Gala for our Pastors, Rev. Dr. Grainger Browning, Jr. and Rev. Dr. Jo Ann Browning will be  held January 2, 2009, at the Gaylord National Harbor Hotel.  To sit at the Young Adult Ministry tables email your name to reserve a space. Tickets are $150 and must be paid by December 1st to guarantee  group seating. Please call the church for ticket info.

Need a mid-day praise break? Check out Brent Jones and the Adult Choir singing "I Really Love You." Warning: It has been reported that viewing this clip at high volumes may cause you to begin dancing!

Join the Men's Ministry this Thursday in the Main Sanctuary for "Our Voice, Our Vote," with Dr. Ronald Waters, Director of the African American Leadership Institute at the University of Maryland. This forum is will address the importance of voting generally, but also the significance of this particular Presidential election. All our invited and encouraged to attend!

Join the our Pastors for a Family Prayer Breakfast on October 11th at 8 a.m. at Martin's Crosswinds (Greenbelt, MD). We will honor members who have been with Ebenezer for 20+ years, and others who are nominated by their ministries for their faithful service. Let's come together to celebrate Ebenezer . . . "The Family Church Serving the Family of God!" Contact the Administrative Office for tickets.

Come out for fun, fitness, and fellowship at Ebenezer's 7th Annual 5K Run, Bike, or Walk at Watkins Park in Upper Marlboro on Saturday, October 18th. Proceeds will support Colon Cancer Awareness Center in the Washington, D.C. area. For more information, contact the Church Administrative Office.

The Chancel Choir will celebrate its 25th Anniversary with special guest CeCe Winans on October 26th. Ebenezer's 2008 Men's Season Career Job Fair will be held on Saturday, November 8th from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Main Sanctuary. Major area employers will be present and recruiting. If you are seeking employment then you can't afford to miss the MS2K8 Career Job Fair. Bring your resume, and be blessed!

The 2008 Men's Season Conference takes place November 20th - 22nd at the Hyatt Cambridge Resort in Cambridge, MD. The $300 registration fee includes hotel accommodations for double occupancy, food, and conference registration. Register in the Narthex after Sunday services or call (301) 248-8833.

S.T.O.M.P. (Step Team On a Mission to Praise) is recruiting young men ages 7-18 who are interested in joining the ministry. Practices are held on Tuesdays from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in the Original Sanctuary. For more information, email Sharita Dunn.
