December 2010
Greetings!

"Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it."
~William Arthur Ward

presentAs we come to the end of another year, I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to each of you...for taking the time to read my newsletter each month and for allowing me to share with you, in some small way, this incredible journey of life we are all traveling.  I am grateful for this work I do, for hopefully opening the possibility of creating calm within the crisis by sharing tools of resiliency.  Thank you for sharing the joy and the sorrow, the bless and the mess...the wabi-sabi of life with me.

Wishing you hope, health, and happiness in the new year,

Pam

Wabi-Sabi...Revisited
PomegranateIn last month's newsletter, we discused the concept of Wabi-Sabi. The term wabi-sabi means the inherent beauty of imperfection, impermanence and incompleteness. Practicing wabi-sabi has become my refrain during the holiday season...the perfection of imperfection!

I asked for readers to submit some of their favorite ways to practice wabi-sabi during the holidays.  Click here to read what wabi-sabi means to others.

MBSR Group or Individual Training

mbsrLet's jump start your meditation training. Stress Resources offers two options for meditation training:

  • 8-week Group Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Option: Participants choose either an evening program or morning program and meet weekly (2-hour session) for 8-weeks. Group participants may attend alternate class time as needed for scheduling conflicts. Small group, no more than 15 students per section. 16 contact hours of continuing education available. Registering now for Winter 2011
  • Flexible MBSR: Individual Training Option: If you need more flexiblity in your training, the individual option allows your MBSR training to take place over 8-12 weeks at your own pace and schedule.
