Greetings!
Sometimes the most important thing in a whole day is the rest we take between two deep breaths.
Etty Hillesum (born 1914 ~ died 1943 at Auschwitz)
March...not quite sure if it is winter or spring, each day a surprise! As we begin to emerge from our winter hibernation, we often find ourselves busier than expected, the outdoors beckons and the to-do list seems to be getting longer by the minute. It is at such times that I turn to a quote I found from Etty Hillesum, a young woman in Nazi-occupied Netherlands during World War II, who wrote about discovering her inner calm by slowing down in the moment: "Sometimes the most important thing in a whole day is the rest we take between two deep breaths". The trick is to remember to breathe!
May you find rest between your breaths during this month of March, Pam
