Greetings!

"The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience."
Eleanor Roosevelt US diplomat & reformer (1884 - 1962)

For me, the beginning of September feels like "the new year". Perhaps this is a vestige from my school days when the anticipation of new notebooks, sharpened pencils and the carefully selected first day of school outfit loomed large in my life. I love the way early September days seem bright with promise, even though nothing except the calendar page has changed.  Do you also feel this way? Why not embrace this month of September as an eager learner again?  As lifelong learners we can learn to observe the fear that accompanies any change, while also relishing in the fact that we are never too old to challenge ourselves with new ideas, dreams and goals.  I invite you to take this opportunity to sharpen a new pencil or two, take out a fresh piece of notebook paper, and write down at least one new thing you will try during this "new year" that you have never tried before...I promise there will be no pop quizzes or graded exams this time around!

Enjoy the anticipation,
Pam

Coming Up... Massachusetts Conference for Women

2008 Mass Conference for Women

Join me and over 5000+ dynamic women who are committed to making a difference and creating the change we want to see in our world at the 4th annual Massachusetts Conference for Women.  I have attended the Massachusetts Conference for Women for the last three years and each year I have come home inspired, hopeful, and challenged by new ideas and strategies. At the one-day conference, you can choose from over 75 workshops, seminars and conversations with leading women in business, healthcare, education, and non-profit organizations to whet your appetite for collaboration, connection and change. We are all leaders and it is up to each of us to find ways to create more compassionate balance for men, women and children in our world...join others in creating that vision!

To open the dialogue with those of you who are interested in being part of the vision for change, I will be blogging about the issues I see as essential in increasing our compassion, resiliency and balance in work, life, healthcare, education and society.  I invite and welcome your input, comments on my blog.

 RETREAT AND RENEWAL

Beautiful Autumn Weekend in the Berkshires

Join me at Kripalu...Oct 24 through Oct 26 (Fri-Sun)

I have arranged, through the generous assistance of my friend Toni Bradley, owner of Serenity Yoga in Bedford, MA, group rates (if we have at least 5 people register) for an autumn weekend of "Retreat and Renewal" at
Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. Kripalu is the largest yoga and meditation center in the U.S. and is located in Lenox, MA.

This "Retreat and Renewal" weekend is open to anyone who may be interested: women, men, couples and singles...you do not need to have taken any of my classes or workshops to join us. If you want to cut costs by sharing a room, roommate matching is available by the reservation department at Kripalu.

Reservations at Kripalu are made by each individual, and will reflect 20% off the published Retreat and Renewal rate, credited at the time of check in, if we have at least 5 participants in our group. If we do not have at least 5 participants, the rate will be the published rate. There are many types of accommodations, ranging from dormitory style to private room and bath.  "Retreat and Renewal" programming allows you do participate in numerous workshops, yoga and movement classes, meditate, reflect and most of all renew and recharge in the amazing autumn beauty of the Berkshires.  Your room, all meals (beginning with Friday dinner and ending with Sunday lunch), Retreat and Renewal workshops, yoga classes and use of the outdoor and indoor facilities are included in the all-inclusive prices.

All information about reservations, accommodations/pricing should be directed to Kripalu reservations at 800-741-7353.  Important: You need to use the group name Serenity Yoga and KYTA#1374 (referring Kripalu teacher Toni Bradley) to be able to register as part of the group for the applicable discount.

Note:
This is a very popular weekend in the Berkshires and availability is first come, first served...Kripalu does NOT hold a block of rooms for groups, so make your plans early!  I have already called in my reservation....I look forward to seeing you at Kripalu!

Feel free to call Stress Resouces at 978-369-5243 or e-mail Pam if you have any questions other than reservation information.
