From the Principal's Desk

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Friends of OLMC School,

Today's reading from St. Paul to the Corinthians offers us a timeless and poetic description of lived charity.  A man gifted with extraordinary insight into the human condition and with special revelation as to the height of the Christian calling, St. Paul teaches that charity (love) is central to the human vocation.  St. Paul knows that Christians who love and embrace their faith still struggle and resist the deep personal conversion required for the one who lives and loves like Christ.  St. Paul says we can perform mighty deeds, preach eloquent doctrines, and sacrifice our lives, but if love is absent, we "gain nothing." This month, as we seek to grow in this kind of charity, let us use today's Scripture to examine our lives and allow ourselves this week to be more deeply converted to love by Love Himself:

Love is patient. Love is kind. It is not jealous, love is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude,
it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury,
it does not rejoice over wrongdoing
but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

With prayers for your families,

Sister Dominic
