Our
Teen Learning Initiative that meets at CJL in Princeton starts again on Sunday, February 12th. We are pleased to announce that both Will Herlands and Hana Snow our wonderful Princeton student educators, are returning
.
At the request and suggestion of the students themselves we will be exploring stimulating issues that lie at the very foundation and core of Jewish Philosophy. The course will span both metaphysical and moral philosophy and include such topics as free will, faith vs. reason, morality and justice, Jewish exceptionalism, and the depiction of God. Jewish thinkers, throughout the ages, have grappled with such fundamental issues.
Continuing the Rimon tradition, we will, together, analyze sources from Talmudic and medieval ages to the modern day. Get ready to contemplate and share your insights to what promises to be thought-provoking discussions!
As we have done in the past, we will have 10 classes for the semester, meeting on Sunday evenings from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. At 6:30 pm the students and staff get dinner, schmooze a little, and then get to launch right into learning with each other in text based discussions led by our wonderful Princeton student educators, Hana and Will.
The cost for the upcoming fall semester will be $325.00 for the class and $125.00 for food. Payment arrangements can be made and scholarships are available for those in need.
*First time students: Attend the first class free! the tuition will be prorated accordingly. *
