Vehicle Wraps - Millions of Impressions

What is it about car wraps that attracts so much consumer attention? Is it the ho-hum of mind-numbing traffic that gets us looking? Traffic continues to get worse - and who enjoys sitting in traffic? But there is an upside - you have a captive audience just waiting for something to look at. According to the Outdoor Advertising Association of America, a single vehicle wrap can generate between 30,000-70,000 impressions daily. Can your website do that?

For example, Double Tree needed to rebrand their vans for better consumer recognition. They wanted to have a single clear message that takes only seconds to understand - Double Tree is the hotel with fresh-baked cookies. No wonder they call it the Sweet Ride! No really, doesn't that cookie look delicous?

Another project was for J & F Tree Service. They needed a vehicle wrap that clearly showed what they do, with just enough text to describe the special services they provide. Nick, our production manager, came up with a design that conveyed what the business was graphically, and had just enough text to explain the details of specific services. No wonder they called this The Leaf Car.

Not only do you get thousands of impressions but most importantly it boosts your brands vitality and enhances name recognition. So why spend $4,800 per year (at $400 per month) for a quarter page-full color Yellow Pages advertisement? Vehicle wraps get far more views at a fraction of the price.

And it's not just vehicles that can deliver advertising through wraps. Trailers can as well. Raindrop Roofing NW realized that and decided to turn their work trailers in on-site advertisements for their business. If you drove by a site Raindrop Roofing NW was working at, would you have any trouble knowing who was doing all the work? We even put QR codes on the wrap, so anyone with a smartphone could capture all the information on Raindrop Roofing NW for use when they needed roofing work.

Look at Those Monkeys!

Alberta Ferretti Fall 2011
Terror at Dawn

Speedpro Imaging of West Portland recently completed a project for the Oregon Zoo. The Zoo needed to cover a couple of exhibits that were no longer active. It was a typical Oregon fall day - cold, wet, and dark. It wasn't helped by the fact the lights kept turning off in our work area. But at least we had company. Monkeys - lots of them in the enclosure next to our work area, watching us work. I admit, it made me nervous. I've read about monkeys, and how they will throw, well, let's just say stuff that you don't want to get hit with, and we were clearly within range. However, we had Xacto knives and butane torches. No monkey dared fling any debris our way.

Turns out the monkeys weren't the most distracting part of the job after all. It was the people who came to watch them. We'd be engrossed in our work, totally focused on applying vinyl to the display windows, and then out of the darkness a child would shriek "hey, look at the monkeys!" Just great - nothing like trying to be precise, get it all put into place, and then have some kid sneak up behind you and scream. And you know, I really didn't like the feeling that some of these kids were really talking about us. In any case, the displays turned out great!

But there's a downside to this day. We told this story to a steady customer of ours who enjoyed hearing about my deep-seated fear of monkey mess being launched my way. And he especially enjoyed hearing about us being called monkeys by the kids. So now what does he do now when he picks up a project? He brings bananas.
