Pearl Harbor Remembered
On Sunday, our Council joined forces once again with the Fleet Reserve Association to hold the annual Pearl Harbor Rememrance Service at the Mighty 8th Air Force Museum in Pooler. Our Savannah Sea Cadets served as the color guard, and members of the visiting guided missile cruiser USS Normandy (CG 60) took part as well. Normandy's Commanding Officer, CDR Joe Creed, was the featured speaker.

Helping Injured Coast Guardsman
Recently, our council has been involved in efforts to help local Coast Guardsman Sean Bretz, who suffered a sudden brain aneurysm earlier this year. Personnel from the Coast Guard Air Station in Savannah have been especially involved in helping make Sean's home on Wilmington Island ready for him to come home from the hospital and continue his recovery at home.
