Navy Birthday at Naval Hospital Beaufort

 

Cutting the cakeToday, sailors and Navy civilians celebrated the 236th birthday of the US Navy at Naval Hospital Beaufort, South Carolian.  The event included a traditional cake-cutting, with both the youngest and longest-serving sailors helping wield the knife.

Sailor of the Quarter at MSU Savannah

 

PO2 Alvin AaronToday the US Coast Guard's MSU (Marine Safety Unit) Savannah honored its Sailor of the Quarter, PO2 Alvin Aaron. The Savannah Council, Navy League of the United States presented PO2 Alvin with a $100 US Savings Bond and a book from the Commandant's reading list.
