An Old Friend Returns!

Capt. Donna Cottrell to Speak at This Month's Dinner Meeting

 

Donna CottrellCapt. Donna Cottrell, who was a regular attendee at our council's events when she was the Commanding Officer at Coast Guard Air Station Savannah not too long ago, will return as the speaker at our next dinner meeting at 6pm on Tuesday night, October 25th, at the Pirate's House Restaurant on E. Broad St. in downtown Savannah.

 

Capt. Cottrell is now in charge of the Jacksonville, FL-based HITRON, the Coast Guard's only armed helo squadron, charged with interdicting drug smugglers in offshore waters.  Since it's inception, HITRON has stopped 122 drug smuggling vessels and confiscated over 162 tons of cocaine and over 7 tons of marijuana for a street value estimated at $8.6 billion.HITRON in pursuit
