ZING! Living Newsletter
  December 2011

Greetings!

Aren't we odd creatures?  (I know I am.)  We want more out of life.  We want to evolve into healthier, more satisfied people. We know we need guidelines and a plan for achieving our dreams, yet we resist doing exactly those things that would make us feel better about ourselves.

Do you relate to this scenario?

If so, I am thrilled to introduce you to The Nine Daily Habits of Healthy People.  It's my simple planner that puts wellness within your reach.

People want to feel in charge of their lives but not so rigidly controlled that they choke all the fun and creativity out of themselves.  They generally want to do what's best for their bodies, hearts, and minds, but they also want to splurge now and again.  How do you splurge without completely losing sight of your goals?  How do you install new, life-affirming behaviors without feeling constricted or punished or overwhelmed with the worry that you'll never be able to maintain them?

The Nine Daily Habits of Healthy People answers these questions by giving you nine research-proven actions associated with a life of longevity, vitality and joy plus a platform to help you plot and practice these behaviors until they become your own healthy living habits.

The Top Ten Perks of Being a Health Nut

10.  I weigh less than I did when I graduated from college and am in far better shape physically.

9.   I can do pretty much anything I want physically.  Case in point, I trained three hours of intensive tai chi the other day and was then able to follow it up with two hours of heavy lifting.  I experienced minimal soreness thereafter.

8.   I rarely have pain.  I don't suffer from frequent headaches, knee pain, indigestion, etc...

7.   I rarely get sick.  I get my flu shot and wash my hands, but I primarily attribute infrequent infections to regular exercise, plenty of sleep and adequate nutrition.

6.   I enjoy lots of energy.  Fatigue and I rarely sit together.

5.   I feel good knowing that I am taking good care of my gift from God.  I consider this experience of human life a treasure and feel it is important to express my gratitude by treating my body with care.

4.   I set a good example for my daughter, family, friends, and others.

3.   I feel good knowing I make good choices for the future of the planet.  The only meat I eat is wild caught fish.  I avoid beef and pork, which requires a lot of petroleum and water and other resources to be brought to market.  This is easier on the environment, as well as my arteries.  I try, when possible, to select organic products from local vendors to support my community too.

2.   I expect to live a long fulfilling life.  By maintaining a normal weight, good eating habits and a regular exercise routine, my risks of heart and brain disease as well as cancer, dementia, osteoporosis, and a number of other unpleasant diseases is radically reduced.

1.   I just plain feel good, happy, and healthy.  What better perk can you ask for?
