Top 10 reasons you should come to our Global Ministries UBUNTU worship on Sunday.

10.  You like to say the word UBUNTU (pronounced oo-boon-too).  It makes you feel cosmopolitan and international.

9.  You will sing music written by our own Brian White.

8.  Your curiosity will be satisfied as to which scent, this week, represents the Aroma of Christ.

7.  You get to see which kilt John Miller is wearing this week.

6.  You will participate in the baptism of David Alan Powell.

5.  You will have the opportunity to look at the south wall of the sanctuary and ponder, again, "is that ever going to be fixed?".

4.  You get to come to worship in jeans because you know you're headed right from church to the annual hayride at Miller's (as if you need an excuse to wear jeans to church).

3.  You get to hear Betsy Johnson ask for more volunteers for Fellowship Hour.

2.  Because of how full the service will be on Sunday, Pastor Pete's sermon will be "short". Yay!

And the #1 reason (drum roll please) you should come to our Global Ministries UBUNTU service on Sunday . . . .

1.   Come to church on Sunday because Jesus loves you and calls on you to to be in community and to love others.  Amen?

In Christ,

Pastor Pete

Neighbors in Need

Special Offering ~ October 7

Imagining a World Without
Discrimination and Oppression

Neighbors in Need (NIN) is a special mission offering of the UCC.   It supports ministries of justice and compassion throughout the United States.

It is the third regularly scheduled UCC offering of each year.  One-third of NIN funds support the Council for American Indian Ministries (CAIM). Two-thirds of the offering is used by the UCC's Justice and Witness Ministries (JWM) to support a variety of justice initiatives, advocacy efforts, and direct service projects.  Please share your abundant resources as you are able.
