From the Pastor's Desk
That We May Be One
Sunday is always a special day at Zion as we gather to worship and give praise to God as a Christian faith community. This Sunday we will celebrate the opportunity to come together to worship and it will be special for several reasons. We will welcome our friend Don Chenoweth of Andrews House during our regular time of worship to covenant and exchange promises related to our joint ministries in Delaware. Don will bring a message of truth and action calling us to help those who need assistance in our community.
We also celebrate this Sunday the fact that we are joined in Christian ministry with Love Fellowship Church. Love Fellowship Church is an all-inclusive LGBT faith community which is working to reach out to all persons who desire a personal relationship with God. Amen!
As we recognize joint ministries within our community, we will also remember Christ Jesus as we come to His table. When we join in the communion meal we remember that we come to the table as brothers and sisters in God's family, ministering peace and justice, love and reconciliation to each other and out into the world. All persons are welcome at the Lord's table. No matter who we are or where we are on life's journey, we are welcome at the Lord's table.
Together in Christ,
PP
