It seems like everywhere you turn, another devastating event is happening somewhere in the world. Personally, it has moved me very deeply in ways that create even greater love and appreciation for all that I have in my life - especially my beloved, my children, and all of my family and friends. This most certainly extends to the shelter, natural resources, and freedom I am blessed to still have. Everything else in comparison seems to be so superficial and ultimately unimportant. Watching the news showing all the horrific pictures of the wreckage in Japan and then seeing a commercial for "Sun setter awnings" puts a lot into perspective for me. Not that those awnings aren't nice, mind you, they just seem ridiculous to me at this time.
I am fairly certain that I am not the only person who feels this way right now. This is good to know because that is an indication that we are coming into alignment with a higher purpose. We are questioning what is ultimately important to us as a greater whole. This is in alignment with Divine Will and results in unconditional giving.
Unconditional giving moves beyond the self into the selfless. And yet, it still somehow benefits the self, although that is not a reason to give - that would defeat the meaning of unconditional. There are no attachments to outcomes, nothing to expect in return with unconditional giving. It is pure and void of egotistical motives. It's unlimited sharing. It serves the highest good. And sometimes, when one is truly aligned with their highest good, they discover a deep need to serve through their talents and gifts. In other words, they yearn to serve no matter what.
I wonder if the current crises going on in the world are waking people up to this yearning to serve, as it has done to me. Hopefully, they are waking up to the differences between ego-based self-serving and Divinely inspired service. Ego-based self-serving doesn't care about what happens to anyone else as long as the ego gets what it wants. Divinely inspired service, which is Divine Will, wants the highest good for everyone which does includes the self. It really is a win-win. These events going on are an opportunity to put that into action.
I want to point out that personal desires for something that may seem superficial or ultimately unimportant at this time are not "bad". They simply need to be purified and aligned with Divine Will. That means that the big goal you have will benefit everyone. If you can view your desire as benefiting everyone, then your desire is aligned. You can always ask for your desires to be purified and aligned with Divine Will if you are unsure. Either way, suffice it to say that Divine Will is the way to go. When our manifestations are aligned with Divine Will, which benefits everyone, we automatically give to others unconditionally. So we can unconditionally give in service and also in our manifestations. Imagine what the world has the potential to become from here!
Giving unconditionally from your heart in alignment with everyone's highest good is easy. Ask the ego to move out of the way, let go of all attachments to outcomes, and ask to be in alignment with Divine Will. Your light will shine like never before for yourself and everyone else. We have the power to do great things for the betterment of this planet and all of humanity. I hope you join me in owning that power. We can't go wrong if you do.
