As we awaken more fully to who we really are, motives that once served us to achieve recognition and success are being brought to light. Ego-driven motives, attitudes, beliefs and patterns are becoming transparent to reveal more harmony and love within each individual and group. This is the way of the new earth and humanity, however we are still in the infancy stages of this.
Signs of these motives were all around me this past weekend. One person feels unaccepted and unrecognized within one area, such as the home, so they overcompensate in another such as work. They feel recognized for their success in work so that is where they feel compelled to spend most of their time. This can also work the other way around. While striving for balance is called for, it won't help until the real issue is resolved. Attitudes, patterns, and beliefs that are created by the ego are the cause of the issue and the subsequent actions we take.
When one person deeply believes they are worth-less than another, their ego-mind begins to create motives to excel in an area that others don't in order to prove they are better or more worthy. The ego-mind may also sabotage another by belittling the other for their weaknesses or they may do this to themselves. Unhealthy competition, jealousy and envy combined with sense of unworthiness and a sense of failure are emotional patterns of the ego that get in the way of real harmony and love. The deep hurt that the sense of worth-lessness creates makes one behave this way. The ego is simply finding ways to avoid feeling this hurt because deep down they believe their worth-lessness is who they really are. All of this is a creation of the ego.
One must look within themselves and ask the question, what really drives me - my ego or the truth of who I really am. Only then can they begin to shed their sense of worth-lessness. Who we really are is worthy of love, acceptance, and recognition for our strengths AND weaknesses. By eliminating ego-driven motives, attitudes, beliefs, and patterns, we naturally feel love, acceptance, and recognition for ourselves and this is where we are meant to reside. This is who we really are.
