Caltrans Traffic Alert

construction

Motorists can expect weekend roadwork on Highway 65

in the Lincoln and Sheridan areas

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is alerting motorists to allow additional travel time this weekend on Highway 65 in the Lincoln and Sheridan areas.

Motorists can anticipate traffic congestion between 7 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Monday around Highway 65 and Industrial Boulevard in Lincoln as well as on the north end of Highway 65 near Sheridan. Various lanes will be closed throughout the weekend to allow a contractor to complete work necessary to open the new 11.7 mile Lincoln Bypass to traffic by the Monday morning commute. In addition, motorists can expect one-way traffic controls on Highway 65 north of Sheridan at various times during the nighttime hours.

Roadside message boards will be used to post the latest information. Unexpected weather may prolong or cause the work to be rescheduled. Caltrans urges motorists to use caution in this area and to "Slow for the Cone Zone".
