We had a small turnout for last week's Read-O-Rama, but we all had great fun reading in our pajamas! We're more excited than ever about story time, so we'll be planning another very soon. Celebrate Teen Read Week, October 16th -22nd! Encourage teens to read by sharing books that will spark their imagination and foster a lifelong love of reading. Here are a few of our favorites . . .
Thirteen Reasons Why, by Jay Asher (paperback, $10.99 and 10% off at Apostrophe Bo oks)
A moving and insightful psychological thriller that explores the complexity of teen suicide. This debut novel is beautifully written and hauntingly sad, a must-read for both teens and parents. The story alternates points of view, between the girl who took her own life and the friends and family who are struggling to understand why they lost her.
