Hello Everyone!
Well, this past Saturday's book signing was definitely one of our more moving book signings we have had. Brianna Karp is one of those rare and amazing human beings on this planet..and we feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to not only host her book signing, but to meet her. Those of you that took the time to stop by and talk to Brianna on Saturday know what I'm talking about. And those of you that couldn't make it, and/or have not yet read her book, we really urge you to do so. (We have a few autographed copies left) Brianna's book is helping to give homelessness a much needed voice. Below is a review from one of our staff members - we hope you will read it.
I would also like to note that Brianna drove from Riverside in 110 degrees without air conditioning to make this book signing. She didn't complain, in fact she hardly even mentioned it - how hot she must have been! Here's a picture of her in her very cute VW getting ready to leave after her signing.
One very moving thing that happened during Brianna's signing was a visit from a family visiting from Sweden. They have been following Brianna online. They happened to be in S. California on vacation, and when they read that Brianna would be signing at our store on Sat., they made her book signing a destination point! This was so touching - more than I can express. Here's a picture of this family - they were the nicest family to meet!

Brainna is sending them a tweet...
I could go on and on about moving moments that happened on Sat..and about the amazing person Brianna is , and her book, but will refrain. However, I will ask that you please take the time to read her book. * Mention this newsletter and get 20% off her book!* We are donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book to the homeless organization: Wings of Hope. Also...by your buying Brianna's book: The Girl's Guide To Homelessness, you will be helping Brianna as well.
Now..for this weekend's author event..we have 4 authors at once! 3 are local and the 4th is from the Pacific Northwest. You may be familiar with these authors: Shaun Morey, Tyler, Dilts, Michael Buckley and Audrey Braun. We hope you will join us tomorrow from 2-4pm and help support your local authors!
