  ARTWALK on 2nd St. was last Sat. Oct 23rd...

We were happy to be chosen to display some of the art from various local schools: Fremont, Naples, and Lowell.   We had the category of Self-Portraits 

AND..... THE WINNERS ARE....

Author Tom Meigs  is back and will be signing his book: BASEBALL IN LONG BEACH,  along with Author Chris Epting, who will be signing LOS ANGELES'S HISTORIC BALLPARKS as well as his many other titles! Please stop by and have some books signed for all the baseball fans in your life!  Tom and Chris will be signing from 2-4pm tomorrow. This Past Saturday....
A Special Day For All of Us At Apostrophe Books!!!

 

Open water swimming legend and author Lynne Cox joined us at our store to sign copies of her two books, SWIMMING TO ANTARTICA and her beloved, GRAYSON. So many people came to meet Lynne, say hi, have books signed and pictures taken with this living legend in the open water swimming world. Just watching her interact with her fans, her friends, her readers..well, it was something very special, indeed. She's one of those magical people, we could just tell! Here are some pictures from the event, in case you missed it...Lynne will be back with us again, hopefully, next Fall, upon publication of her next book.
Thank you, Lynne, for coming to our store for a few hours..you helped make alot of special memories for the folks who stopped by to meet you! : )

PLEASE BE SURE TO JOIN US EVERY SUNDAY FROM 2 TIL 3 P.M. AS WE ENJOY STORY-TIME WITH ANDI IN OUR KID'S SECTION! ANDI WILL BE READING A SELECTION OF OUR WONDERFUL KIDS BOOKS SURE TO DELIGHT ALLTHE LITTLE ONES WHO ATTEND! THERE WILL BE SNACKS AND JUICE BOXES AND STICKERS, TOO, FOR ALL.
