a Sunday night classical music series

Pianist Anne-Marie McDermott to Appear in Recital

at Rubin Museum of Art

November 6 recital inspired by Museum's

"Gateway to Himalayan Art" exhibition

New York City - The Rubin Museum of Art's new classical music series, Resonating Lightcontinues on November 6 at 4:00 PM, when pianist
Anne-Marie McDermott makes her only New York solo recital appearance of the season.

All concert presentations at the Rubin Museum of Art are programmed to reflect the institution's exquisite collection and exhibitions. Anne-Marie McDermott has chosen as her inspiration the Wheel of Life found in the exhibition, "Gateway to Himalayan Art".

"Inspired by the understanding of the cyclical nature of existence in much of Asian philosophy,  the program is about journeys that travel back to the place where you begin--a potent musical idea that serves as wonderful metaphor for many life views."

-Anne-Marie McDermott
