August 3, 2012
People ask us often "What's the difference between a retreat and a vacation?" or they say "I don't know how--or why-- to take a retreat"

Our new program, Retreats for Beginners, will answer those questions through quarterly classes on How To Take A Retreat, as well as quarterly "Women's Wisdom" weekend-long guided retreats.

Maybe that will be just what you need to plan YOUR first retreat at The Gathering Inn.
MERRY'S MUSINGS
Merry Cole Take a Deep Breath

I've been watching the Olympics and noticing how the athletes breathe, especially at the end of a huge output of energy.... swimming, biking, gymnastics, all of it. And how they throw their heads back, open their chests, open their mouths wide and draw in big gulps of air like a hiker, lost and stranded for days in the desert, might gulp down water when rescued. Remember the runner in Chariots of Fire?

Breath is the life force in all of us. It is the universal essence and energy our bodies need to function. We can go for some days without water, and more days without food, but not more than very brief moments without breath. How long can you hold your breath under water?

"Radical Forgiveness is much more than the mere letting go of the past. It is the key to creating the life that we want, and the world that we want. It is the key to our own happiness and the key to world peace. It is no longer an option. It is our destiny." ~ from www.colintipping.com

This workshop will introduce the concepts of Radical Forgiveness and will culminate in a Radical Forgiveness Ceremony.  This largely non-verbal healing circle ceremony has proven itself to be extremely powerful and effective in allowing people to forgive themselves and others and to find peace and happiness.
