The Gathering Inn
March 15, 2012
Greetings!

Our March newsletter was so packed with news of the wonderful experiences here at The Gathering Inn that we thought we might send a mid-month update so you don't overlook the one perfect thing for YOU to enhance your health-body, mind and spirit.

If you are leaning toward better physical health, you won't want to miss Dr. Roy's workshop on Nutrition as your Primary Medicine, or sign up for the 7-week Acupuncture Wellness Series with Serra May Plourde, or register for one of our Yoga classes.

If you want to reach deeper into your spiritual core, there is the Humble Heart Yoga and Meditation Retreat on April 13-15th, or check out Jennie Isbell's two upcoming events-Discernment and Dream work.

If you love to work with your hands, Sandy Kahn is offering an opportunity to actually make your own books.  And if book binding isn't up your alley, maybe bookkeeping is.. in which case you won't want to miss the April potluck dinner with Renee Senes's presentation about Women's Financial Health.

Surely one or more of these is just what you've been looking for.  Sign up today!

What is a Healthy Diet?

Offered by Dr. Esther Roy

We all know that what we eat has a big impact on our health and well-being. We know that good nutrition is vital to good health and disease prevention, and we all should eat a 'healthy diet.' But what is a 'healthy diet?' We have so much information coming at us from the media, in the news and online that it's difficult to make sense of it all.

In this hands-on class, we will taste new foods, make smoothies, learn about the properties and health benefits of veggies, grains, oils, and learn new eating behaviors that will help you use your diet as your primary medicine.

Cost: $65 per person (includes all the foods we'll sample!)

April 13-15
True humbleness is about knowing and loving ourselves just the way we are with all our strengths and all our places for growth, and loving others the same way. We will focus on how - in this fast paced goal-driven society that encourages competition and individuality - we can serve ourselves and others from the strength of being humble.

During this weekend we will incorporate the practice of yoga and meditation interwoven with discussions about the true nature of authentic, healthy humility.

The cost for the weekend retreat is $250 and includes 2 nights of lodging (shared rooms/bath), 6 delicious vegetarian meals, outdoor exploration (weather permitting), quiet time and the weekend workshop/yoga.
