The Gathering Inn's web site is undergoing a revision and a change in web master and hosting site and we cannot make changes to the information on our old site right now. Music of the Spirit This Sunday, August 22, 3 PM
Fun, open mic,
music sharing time. If you want to be a presenter, just let us know.
One song or a whole set. Your choice. If you have words to share so
others can sing along, bring them and we can make copies. Bring the
family. Bring your friends. We already have guitars, trumpet,
keyboard, Kirtan music, folk music. Should be a great afternoon.

Faith Club (Spiritual Explorers Group)
Thursday, Aug. 26, 7 PM
Open discussion of beliefs and questions for seekers of Truth (whatever that means for each of us). A circle of women each being a teacher and learner as we explore the mysteries of faith. This is loosely based on the book The Faith Club, but anyone who wants to share deep dialogue about the core issues of belief is welcome.

Next Kayaking Trip
Saturday, September 11, 7 AM - 5 PM
We've scheduled a second kayaking trip for Saturday, Sept. 11th. See our August newsletter for all the details. The only change for this trip is that we are not offering overnight accommodations on Friday, Sept. 10th. There ARE overnights available for Saturday night, Sept. 11th, after the trip. Registration deadline is Sept. 1st.

Book Discussion

Due to several scheduled retreats, our September book discussion has been moved to Sunday, September 12th. We are reading Crossing to Avalon by Jean Shinoda Bolen. Buy the book from Amazon.com and support the Inn.

New Yoga Class Starts in September Calm Your Koshas, A six-week introduction to yoga-based stress management Phyllis Pomerleau, RYT
Tuesday, Sept. 14 - Oct. 19 9:00-10:30 AM
(replaces Phyllis' 9:00 am Gentle Yoga)
Thursday, Sept. 16 - Oct. 21 7:00-8:30 PM
This class will introduce you to a combination of yoga practices and mindfulness based stress reduction techniques based on the understanding that we are made of many "levels of being" known as koshas: the physical body, the energetic body, the mind, the wisdom body, and the bliss body.. that inner place that is our true nature.
Designed to lead you into deep relaxation and a reduction of the stress response at every level to restore balance and wholeness.
