Spotlight on..The Kidz Stop nursery

The Kidz Stop nursery opened in Bo'ness in 2003 after owner Caroline Gormley attended a series of business start-up courses at Falkirk for Business. Spotting a gap in the market, she set up her business and has grown it to employ 27 staff and care for over 160 children. This year the nursery was runner-up in the whole of  Scotland in the NDNA Nursery of the Year Awards.

Falkirk Council has recently signed up as partners with the Supplier Development Programme to provide businesses with support in tendering and procurement in the public sector. Laurence Barrett CEO

Laurence joined Falkirk for Business in 2009 bringing a wealth of experience as a senior manager and director.
 An accredited consultant in Systems Thinking, he spent 13 years at VELUX where he successfully introduced the Lean Service System. He has also acted as business advisor to a range of international companies across Europe. In his spare time he enjoys walking his two dogs and is, apparently, a demon 10-pin bowler!
