Under-dispenser containment (UDC) - containment underneath a dispenser system designed to prevent dispenser system leaks from reaching soil or groundwater.
EPA is proposing owners and operators install under-dispenser containment beneath new dispenser systems at UST systems. Based upon data obtained from studies conducted of UST release sites, the agency has determined that dispensers are one of the leading sources of releases. Under-dispenser containment will contain small releases that occur inside and beneath the dispenser system.
