EPA and National Center for Manufacturing Sciences Launch the Combustion Portal
The Combustion Portal, developed as a collaborative effort by the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences and EPA, provides federal and state compliance and pollution prevention information regarding: boilers; incinerators; hazardous waste combustion units, stationary reciprocating internal combustion engines (RICE); and wood heating appliances.
Regulated entities can now have easy access to potential air, water and waste regulatory impacts affecting their combustion activities, including New Source Performance Standards, National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants, indirect and direct water discharges, and Spill Prevention, Control and Counter Measures. The site also provides summaries and links to state combustion source requirements, as well as calculators to assist with estimating emissions from boilers based upon fuel type.
The Combustion Portal can be found at http://www.combustionportal.org/. |
