EPA's Border Center Provides a Resource for Environmental Import and Export Issues
The Border Center provides on-line assistance to businesses and individuals to better understand and comply with environmental laws regulating the import and export of environmentally sensitive products, materials and wastes into and from the United States. The Border Center is maintained by the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS) and is one of the Compliance Assistance Centers developed with support from EPA's Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assistance (OECA). The Border Center website includes pages focused on port compliance issues, solid/hazardous waste shipments from Mexico and Canada, and EPA regulations and procedures related to the import and export of certain chemicals and products to/from China.
